1. Season your stoneware the first time with some type of fat or oil to develop a non-stick coating. Frequent seasoning will help in retaining the coating. 2. Wipe it nicely with a non abrasive sponge or cloth if dry crumbs and cookie bits are the only residues. 3. If something tends to stick, use a rubber scraper to remove all the food bits. Then pour slightly hot water and quickly rub it and then dry it off. 4. Refrain from using soap on your stoneware as it will strip away the non-stick coating and may absorb it affecting the taste of your food. 5. This stoneware product should only be washed with hands to avoid any abrasions. 6. Let stoneware dry thoroughly before storing. 7. Always let stoneware cool before cleaning. 8. Prevent breakage from thermal shock by avoiding extreme temperature changes. Always evenly distribute food over stoneware surfaces and avoid clustering foods. 9. Avoid pre-heating the stone. 10. Always thaw dense, frozen food in the refrigerator before cooking. 11. Hot stoneware can cause burns if handled improperly. Always use a heat-resistant oven mitt or pad when handling hot stoneware or placing on surfaces. 12. Stoneware can break if bumped or dropped. Do not use chipped or damaged stoneware. 13. Stoneware should not touch the sides of the oven or oven door when closed.
